September Reset

Even if we aren’t returning to school, many of us hang onto some sort of “back to school” mindset. September, for a number of reasons, is almost like a second New Year. The “back to school” mindset brings with it the return to routine and a new beginning. It’s also almost fall, a time when things come to an end, and prepare to return or start over.

Take this time to do a September Rest. Here’s how….


What goals did you set at the beginning of the year? Take a look back at what you set out to do, and evaluate how far you have come. Celebrate your progress and check in with what else you can do. You still have 4 months left!!


Summer has a way of changing our priorities. It’s nice out, we have more energy, there’s lots of things to do and people to see. Just because our priorities are refocused, doesn’t mean we haven’t made the best of the summer! Take this time to reset. Ask yourself, what are my priorities? How can I reset my priorities to focus on my goals for the remainder of the year? There’s still lots of year left, let’s make the most of it.


If you are heading back to school, back to the office, or just like to lean into the season of restart, think of September as a second restart. Is there anything you are adding to your goal list for 2023? Do you need to reevaluate your goals? Life is messy and things change, it’s ok to pivot, and start working towards new things!
